• Potential reworking of terms
  • We talked about renaming some terms in the Observation Planner
    • Partitioning → Phase 1
    • Calibration Strategy → Phase 2
    • Scheduling Strategy → Phase 3
  • Update to Science Target List definition
    • Each row of the Science Target List contains a Source, a Hardware Configuration, a Calibration Strategy, a Scheduling Strategy, and a Requested Time
    • The Calibration Strategy and Scheduling Strategy are inputs and selectors for Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 in the Observation Planner.
  • We are unsure if we need to retain the word Calibration Plan but will for now.
• The Hardware Configuration does include VLA Configuration and most likely includes stations for the GMVA, for example.
  • We should let the team know about this change.
• Currently, it is possible to propose for a filler proposal. We have benched this discussion until later.
• Looking ahead, we may need to "turn the crank" again on the Science Target List after time is allocated to make Observation Specifications that are suitable for the priority, time, or sources the TAC specifies. We should keep this mind as the team moves down stream.
