VLA Pipeline 2024 prioritization

Based on group discussion from 20 November, 2023.

  • Highest priority overall, as this is seen fairly often; pipeline will crash if one calibration source gets fully flagged by flagtemplate or other mechanism:
PIPE-1729 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Spectral line stuff (see list at VLA Pipeline page)
  • Different bandpass calibrators in different bands:
PIPE-669 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Option to disable bad deformatter flagging completely or partially:
PIPE-1183 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Manual and automatic refant ignore do not work together:
PIPE-1637 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Restored pipeline results should be equal to original pipeline results:
PIPE-1555 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Don't retain flags due to a bad refant if a new refant is tried in testBPdcals:
PIPE-1554 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Abbreviate all image header strings in CASA images otherwise they will not load in CARTA:
PIPE-1615 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Checkflag should properly execute when sources have mixed intents:
PIPE-1335 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Fix limit_short_solint bug when set to 'int':
PIPE-1597 - Getting issue details... STATUS
  • Readability of spw numbers vs frequency plot:
PIPE-1905 - Getting issue details... STATUS

Additional features we would like to request / have tickets for / be able to prioritize:

  • Ability to use calibrator model (provided by user) in the pipeline
  • Allow all weblog links to open in a new tab (i.e. "middle-click" option)
  • Implement ability to click on points in plotms images in weblog to show metapoint for the selected data (as implemented by Eric Koch)
  • No labels
