Astronomy AI Institutes: worth considering e.g. for VLASS? (Tony Remijan email to scistaff, August 4th)
Scistaff meeting will be next Thursday, Trent, Mark & Steve should be able to attend for VLASS. Current thinking is to join with Universities e,g. UVa and NMT, NRAO can supply use cases (e.g. QA, RFI), but would probably not lead a proposal. Steve asked about data science track for NRAO, but given current effective hiring freeze may be difficult.
