Guidelines for flagging VLA data for SRDP (work in progress). See QA Checklist - VLA Calibration for an overview of the entire process.

Suggested flagging criteria for high frequencies (>12GHz):

  1. Amplitudes: flag by antenna/spw if mean is outside the range 0.8-1.2 (hifv_finalcals, final amp time/freq cals).
  2. Phases: phase jumps - flag scans around jump if phases look stable otherwise.
  3. Refant - exclude if refant changes during pipeline run. (DM: aren't we just excluding it when it's bad?)
  4. If most (i.e. >~70-80%) of the calibration solutions are missing for a given antenna for no obvious reason, flag it entirely.
  5. Unflagged DTS issues: flag freq range on antenna if BP gain amps very low (<~0.1xmean)?
  6. Strong outliers in Amp vs  UVWave or Amp vs freq. plots in hifv_plotsummary
