Selfcal Prototype:

Obtain via 'git clone https://github.com/jjtobin/auto_selfcal'

  • Copy scripts to working directory where _target.ms files reside
  • Start CASA in MPI mode (i.e., mpicasa -n 9 /path/to/casa/bin/casa); otherwise edit script to set parallel=False
  • run via execfile('auto_selfcal.py')
    • will make use of cont.dat to flag line channels if cont.dat is present, otherwise will use all channels
    • Can make use of spectral averaging by setting  spectral_average=True in auto_selfcal.py
      • averaging depends on frequency for VLA, will simply average to 15.625 MHz channels for ALMA
