What is the preferred method of installing HTCondor?
When 8.8.13 was released, I noticed that it wasn't available in the yum repo.
- RPMs from the yum repo https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/yum/stable/8.8/rhel7/
- Binary tarball from https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/tarball/8.8/8.8.13/release/
- Source tarball from https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/tarball/8.8/8.8.13/release/
I started downloading RPMs via the yum repo because the instructions for compiling the source seemed out of date. Should we be using the binary tarball instead?
Ah. I see. Somewhere around Sep. 2020 y'all made a new repo (https://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/repo/8.8/el7/release/) possibly because RHEL8 doesn't use yum anymore.
Memory bug fix?
What version of condor has this fix?
